A truly worthy anniversary race: The 50th edition of the ADAC TotalEnergies 24h Nürburgring was hard to beat in terms of action and drama.
A Ferrari on pole, stumbling favourites, fierce fights and, in the end, an Audi as the winner - no one would have predicted this course of events. How did it come about? The official 24h Yearbook sheds light on it.
After 24 hours, an Audi R8 LMS GT3 evo II from Phoenix Racing was in the lead after the assembled competition had gone to work with a high level of commitment - and gambled away in the process.
Once again, the endurance specialists who remained fast, reliable and faultless were rewarded at the anniversary event. Two Mercedes-AMG GT3s from GetSpeed completed the overall podium at this special race. In addition, every position was fought for in almost two dozen classes, and there were both favorite winners and surprise teams.
Whether in the heavily contested Cup classes, the beefy "specials" or the production cars - all 135 participants can be found in this book. Hundreds of photos and statistics, detailed reports on the racing action as well as the decisions in the individual classes allow the whole weekend to be reviewed once again.
The supporting program with RCN, ADAC 24h-Classic, the Touring Car World Cup (WTCR) and the touring car legends is of course not missing either.
Events off the track - from the Adenauer Racing Day to the Falken Drift Show - also come alive once again. And of course, a look back at the history of the race cannot be missing from the 50th edition!
