The book tells the story of the Alfa Romeo Spider Type 105/115 (1966-1994) in detail: from its genesis to its four successive series.
The Spider was the most produced convertible in the history of the Alfa Romeo brand, and also the longest-lived: about 28 years.
Another singularity, which is the subject of an entire chapter, is that the Spider's styling began to take shape ten years before its debut and six years before the birth of the Giulia.
Based on an incredibly rich iconography, made up of period documents and drawings of the various versions, specially created by Piero Stroppa, formerly of Bertone and Pininfarina, the book includes numerous testimonies, starting with that of designer Aldo Brovarone, the Spider's 'father'.
The 256-page book includes almost 570 photos and illustrations and is destined to become a reference point.
The preface is by Lorenzo Ramaciotti.
