Jean Malleret, a retired history and geography teacher, and Serge Basset, a project manager in industry, first met in the late 1970s. It was at an exhibition of vintage motorbikes when Jean was riding a 125 GIMA and Serge had just recovered a 250 AMC engine. They both wanted to learn more about the history of these motorbikes.
AMC - Les Aventure des moteurs clermontois is the result of their shared curiosity. From research to finds, from flea markets to fairs, they collected a large quantity of documentation and met many of the people involved in this adventure.
In the early 1980s, Serge Basset met Henri Chartoire during a television programme in which his 250 AMC was the backdrop. After several articles for the association's magazine Le Motocyclettiste and a long period of reflection, the two finally devoted themselves to writing this book.
149 pages, lavishly illustrated. Text in French.
