Special annual publication of the Automobile Revue. The first issue was published in 1947 by Hallwag AG in Switzerland in coincidence with the Geneva Motor Show, the text in French and German.

In the form of a catalogue, it contains the main technical characteristics of all models available and in series production.

In addition, it reports statistics on car production worldwide, and innovations and trends in technical development, as well as innovations in car design or improvements in ergonomic aspects.

The topics of the editorial section change with each issue: for example, in 1974, Dr. Kurt Obländer, who later became responsible for engine construction at Mercedes-Benz, wrote an article on the possibilities of exhaust gas purification.

The following year, Jacky Ickx wrote an essay entitled "The Car, My Freedom". In 1977, Automobil Revue published observations on the fuel-saving potential of aerodynamic body design.

Of great historical interest the contemporary advertising that, in addition to the representation of specific models, also includes accessories, supplier offers, and general image advertising of companies.

An essential resource for car enthusiasts, restorers and historians, these annual catalogs are highly valued by collectors.
