When in May 1987 it was revealed that the Bugatti brand had been acquired and was going to be reborn, the automobile world buzzed.
There were two protagonists in this initiative: the engineer Paolo Stanzani (father of the most prestigious Lamborghini cars) who had already started designing a new car before the effective acquisition of the brand, and an entrepreneur with a great passion for cars, successfully engaged in their importation from Japan and in the sale of Ferrari cars.
Paolo Stanzani, chief executive of Bugatti Automobili, engaged, among others, Marcello Gandini, an international well-known designer, and immediately afterwards Dario Trucco, the author of this book, asking him to do what was necessary to engineer and build the bodywork for the car that Gandini was designing himself. With modest investments, engineer Stanzani succeeded in building the power train, all the mechanics, the chassis and the first bodywork.
And then what happened?
Many people have reported on it, including the entrepreneur in a book he wrote. Others also talked about it, and the opinions expressed by each one could not have been more different.
How was it possible to overcome this "impasse", the result of a plot with a thousand truths?
Simple: by contacting all the people who, in whatever role, had taken part in the project, collecting their testimonies and reporting them in full, and finally publishing this book, which could not have been titled differently.
Bugatti, la vera storia della EB110 - Bugatti, the true story of the EB110, a true and exciting story, even for the "non-experts"!
