In the automotive industry, it was in the inter-war period that everything gradually came together: technology, aerodynamics, construction methods, sales, advertising, marketing, dealer networks, credit and so on.
This is why the 1920s and 1930s are crucial years. The C4-C6 represents a kind of caesura in Citroën production. With it, the Javel-based manufacturer offered a truly modern car that contrasted sharply with its predecessors.
It was Citroën's second generation, the third would come with front-wheel drive. In addition, the brand offered buyers a range of bodies and engines - with 4 and 6 cylinders - so wide that it immediately answered all customer desires and needs: from the woman to the man of the world, from the coal merchant to the golf player!
Citroën: les années C4-C6, published in 1995, has 316 pages, with a rich and splendid photographic set of hundreds of illustrations and archive images.
