After publishing two volumes in 2015 and 2019 dedicated to the history of the Citroën Traction Avant, Ubaldo Nifosi, in this latest work, wanted to explore in depth aspects of the body style.

A modern, aerodynamic line and a low, streamlined shape that suggested the definition of 'sculpture in motion'.

There were many mentions of Flaminio Bertoni, the artist who sculpted the form of this bodywork out of a block of plasticine, which was considered, from the moment it appeared on the international scene, to be revolutionary and many years ahead of the automotive scene at that time.

The analysis and commentary on the car's aesthetic characteristics during its twenty-three years of production is detailed and extensive, while a review of articles published in the specialized press at the time confirms the role played by communication in outlining both the glories of its birth and reasons for decline, when the line had inevitably become dated.

Other themes developed are those relating to the correct identification of models, production figures and the search for new aesthetics, through customization and the development of new shapes.

There are many numerical tables and detailed diagrams regarding the evolution of individual details and the range of colours.

The iconographic apparatus is very rich, with 197 photographs.
