Noland Adams is a well known author and Corvette historian whose works include Corvette, American Legend covering five volumes: the present, The Beginning, about original dream car prototype and 1953 production, and the follow-up series, 1954-1955 Production, 1956 Racing Success, 1957 Fuel Injection / 283 V-8, and 1958-1960 Production.
This is the full story of the men and women who crafted the Corvette into America's only true sports car. The beginning history of the Chevrolet Corvette, told through photographs of the early planning and production stages in 1953.
The author interviewed stylists, engineers, craftsmen, and members of management by letter, phone, or in person. Many had old drawings and photos which he added to the old and new information provided by Chevrolet to tell the story of early Corvette history.
