Why does the motorbike tilt inwards? What is the tilt limit it can reach? What effect does the stiffness of the frame have on riding?

Dinamica e tecnica della Motocicletta attempts to provide appropriate answers to these questions in mathematical terms, analysing the fundamental parameters that influence the behaviour of a motorbike and the function of its main components.

The first part of the book examines the physical phenomena that enable the motorbike to be ridden and controlled. Both the traditional geometric parameters, such as trail, centre of gravity height and wheelbase, and the lesser known parameters, such as aerodynamics and tyres, which nevertheless contribute to characterising the dynamic behaviour of the vehicle, are illustrated.

The second part of the volume, more discursive, describes the main components of the motorbike. The engine, chassis and suspension are considered in terms of their operating principles and their integration into the overall vehicle.

Electronics, electric motorbikes and oscillating three- and four-wheel vehicles are the topics that complete the exhaustive and comprehensive treatment of this great classic of motorbike literature, now in its fourth edition in a new, more agile format.
