The ninth edition of the yearbook marks a special moment in Ducati's life.
In March 2006, new shareholders acquired the relative majority of the company, thus putting an end to a long period of uncertainty in the control and therefore in the strategy and financial situation of Ducati.
This was a great opportunity to start again, taking ideas and projects out of the drawers, where they had been in recent times, especially in relation to new products.
Among the many products in the Ducati range, the place of honour is certainly taken by the new Superbike 1098, the protagonist, by right, of the Ducati 2006 yearbook.
The Superbike family, in fact, has always characterized, identified and defined Ducati and determined its economic and financial success; and the new Superbike 1098 has all the characteristics to take up the heavy heritage of the authentic sacred monsters that preceded it.
The 1098 is continuity with a glorious past, not only in the aesthetic lines and elements of the Ducati tradition, but above all in the design approach, which wants to present on the bike only what is needed to make it faster and more performing, without purely aesthetic and fashionable distractions.
And in the splendid images of this yearbook, the aesthetic and design beauty of this new Superbike emerges strongly, both on the track and in every single detail.
