Elio De Angelis was part of the large group of Italian drivers who animated Formula 1 in the Seventies and Eighties. Born in Rome in 1958, he entered the top Championship with Shadow in 1979 after distinguishing in minor formulas.
His name is indissolubly linked to Lotus, where he arrived in 1980 to stay for six seasons, during which - although he only won two races - he showed all his value and became one of the best drivers of his era.
His sporting rivalry with Michele Alboreto was unforgettable, as was his relationship with the rising star Ayrton Senna.
Great pages of motor racing, on and off the track, which relive in this exciting story written by Gianluca Teodori.
