Ferrari took part in the last eleven editions of the great Brescian road race between 1947 and 1957, winning eight and playing the role of antagonist in the others.
In each race, Ferrari introduced a new car model, so that the panorama of Ferraris at Mille Miglia is also a survey of the production of sports cars in the first decade of the House's activity.
The book is introduced by Giannino Marzotto, the gentleman driver who won two editions of this race with Ferrari, and more than anyone else contributed to enhancing its charm and, at the same time, demystifying it with his famous "double-breasted victory".
In eleven chapters, the various editions of the race are described, with a wide selection of images, many of them unpublished and all of great interest both because they are significant of the race and the environment in which it took place.
Some of the most interesting images are directly commented by the protagonists of that time: Gigi Villoresi and Piero Taruffi, both winners of a Mille Miglia, Franco Cortese, Paolo Marzotto, Umberto Maglioli...
The book is completed by profiles of winning drivers and Ferrari cars in the various editions of Mille Miglia.
