Ferrari by Mailander. Le origini di un mito - the catalogue of the exhibition held at the Pinacoteca Giovanni e Marella Agnelli (13.05.2005 - 25.09.2005) - presents one hundred photographs taken of Ferrari from 1950 to 1955 by Rodolfo Mailander, one of the world's most important photoreporters in Formula One.

One hundred photographs, taken by a man who had privileged access to the world of racing and Ferrari, documenting those early years of success, the racing environment and its protagonists - Enzo Ferrari, Manuel Fangio, Alberto Ascari, Stirling Moss, Luigi Villoresi; the Maranello factory and its products; amusing episodes that have remained in history.

Rodolfo Mailander had the opportunity to make reportages of Ferrari cars in Grand Prix, rally, road and hill races. Thanks to his friendship with the drivers, in particular Stirling Moss, he succeeded in taking pictures from spectacular and sometimes unsafe positions with his Leica.
