The first volume of this series of annual publications was simply titled Ferrari Formula 1 Annual, dedicated to the 1989 season, but including a repetition, a little more than the previous one, Catalogue Raisonn, with an appropriate update of tables, again in three languages, Italian, English and French. After a broad technical overview on the entire dedication of Ferrari Formula 1, starting in 1948, the major responsibility of law at description of F1-89, the great turning point in the car category, with the return to the suction motor, but even the victorious all his machine, thanks to the revival of the twelve-cylinder engine and the innovation of the semi-automatic transmission. Due to this rebirth of the V-12, a documented section turns to Enzo Ferrari's favourite engine, a long ride, which touches nearly all technical intrecciatisi themes in the history of Formula 1. By contrast, a truly exciting chapter is dedicated to the turbo engine, which ended his incredible career in 1988 and has deserved a thorough technical analysis. Finally, the interviews with the two drivers of the season, Nigel Mansell and Gerhard Berger, help revive the climate of that 1989, successes and disappointments, of unfortunate events and inventions that have influenced subsequent technical settings of Formula 1.
