When Silvio Pasotti, painter, sculptor, total artist, heard of Enzo Ferrari's death and of the funeral that took place at his behest secretly three days after the Giant left this world, his memory shook him.
Another Giant, Italian and world-wide like Ferrari, had, centuries earlier, a funeral six days after his death. A Giant called Palladio.
Andrea Palladio, who also died in August, like the Grande Vecchio. The funeral on 25th, death on 19th, in 1580.
This communion lights up ideas and inspirations in the artist. He knows much about Palladio, much less about Ferrari. So he reads, seeks, compares.
Silvio Pasotti began creating sculptures and paintings on the magical theme of Maranello cars, the central theme of which was a large canvas on the myth of the car manufacturer, set in Palladio's Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza.
This volume documents that large canvas, including preparatory studies, as well as all the works Pasotti dedicated to the myth of Enzo Ferrari.
