The Raid Pavia Venezia is a motorboat race that has entered into legend. Since 1929, it has been run on the water of the great river what, with its over 400 km, is the longest motorboat race on inland waters.
Twenty years after the first edition, the book I cavalieri del Po is back, a work in large format, edited by Edgardo Azzi and Nicola Sometti, which updates the tale of a legendary sporting feat.
The great riders of the past - such as Augusto Cometti or Antonio Petrobelli - protagonists of the heroic editions of the early decades, are compared with the great names of the present, such as recordman Dino Zantelli, and the many others who have ploughed the waters of the Po and the lagoon, making enthusiasts dream.
Hundreds of images accompany the volume, which features a rich historical and memoiristic section and a second part dedicated to the rankings of each edition, year by year, up to the 2021 edition, the one of the triumphant return, in which all the competing teams are mentioned and photographed.
