This volume, published in 1989, tells the story of the Incas Rally with text and images. From its birth, with the forerunners Acerbis, Arizzi and Gualini arriving in Peru in February 1985 to study routes and make contacts, to the third edition of 1989.
On 28 March 1986, all the riders who took part in the first edition were ready to start; it was a very tough technical rally, but - according to everyone - absolutely incomparable: people, places, culture, traditions of Peru. are so intense and magical that it is impossible not to be fascinated by them.
After a year of silence to refine organisation, the second edition, in 1988. Same fascination, same difficulties, and many more participants: 10 nations, a total of 76 riders.
Incas Rally 1989, third edition: 17 nations participating, with a total of 86 riders.
Beautiful images immortalise the three editions and fully capture the difficulties, beauty and fascination of this sporting adventure. Lastly, for each edition, itinerary, starting order and podium.
