The Photographic Book "LA MONTE PELLEGRINO" recounts with exclusive and unpublished images, taken by the photographer Roberto Barbato, some of the most famous editions of the Palermo-Montepellegrino hill climb race.
Ideated by Vincenzo Florio in 1908, in the following years this hill-climb race became not only a sporting event, attracting drivers from all over Italy, but also a real popular festival, involving the whole city of Palermo. A truly unique and unrepeatable situation, in the panorama of Italian hill-climbs.
The publication is offered in a two-volume set.
The first volume covers the editions of 1970 / 1971 / 1976.
The second volume is dedicated exclusively to the 1975 edition.
An overall total of over 500 pages, about 550 exclusive unpublished images that bring to life the drivers, cars, protagonists and atmospheres of a truly exceptional period for hillclimb racing.
The publication is completed with with all the rankings, both general and class, of the editions covered in this initiative.
