What was regolarità? A question that might arise spontaneously leafing through a few black and white albums of slightly 'strange' motorbikes, real 'homemade junk' put together by those who had a garage and a motorbike to turn into an off-roader in the early 1960s.
Well, today's enduro motorbikes (that's what regolarità is called today), 'super-specialist' and 'grandchildren' of those years, are the best that technology can give us. The pioneers of enduro riding had road motorbikes at their disposal, to which they timidly fitted a fork with a longer excursion, two tyres with a bit of gusset, insulating tape, wire, a spark plug spanner and ready, off they went to tackle trails, dust or mud, in the fields and woods.
La storia di Firenze siamo anche noi is the story of a sport, regolarità, told through the images of Florentine riders, who rummaged through their drawers in search of photographs from their youth.
Today, each of them has his own business, they are lawyers, successful managers, some have remained in the business, selling motorbikes in beautiful salons, others have chosen different paths, but in their hearts remains that youth, freedom, carefreeness of the years spent with the motorbike in the mud and dust.
A true amarcord of a sport that has been part of Florence and its history.
