Lamborghini Le Granturismo, published in 1991, with texts by Sergio Massaro and photographs of Giancarlo Reggiani, illustrates all models produced by Lamborghini until the launch of the legendary Diablo.
A wonderful photographic overview that fully expresses the fame of this brand that, with just a few iconic models, has entered into the Olympus of world motoring.
350 GTV, Miura, Islero, Espada, Jarama, Urraco, Countach, Silhouette, Jalpa and Diablo are the names, in order of appearance, of these models, produced in the new and modern factory in Sant'Agata Bolognese, about twenty kilometres from Modena, where Ferruccio Lamborghini decided to set up part of his business to produce cars.
The inspiration is Ferrari and the glorious G.T.'s of Maranello. And with this aim in mind, Ferruccio Lamborghini calls on young but prestigious engineers like Paolo Stanzani, Giampaolo Dallara and Giotto Bizzarrini.
It was at the 1963 Turin Motor Show that the first Lamborghini appeared, the 350 GTV, the first of a series of stunning models that would conquer the world during the 1960s and 1970s.
Just the beginning of a long history ...
