Testacalda was the most popular , the most powerful and its distinctive beat was spreading authoritarian to reassure anyone was making expertise with a high quality work.
Since 1925 ( the first prototype) , for 35 years, the family built more than 20,000 Landini tractors : 12 models and 6 testacalda types diesel, all become part of the legend.
Giovanni, the father , began in 1884 to build wine-making machinery , steam engines and then testacalda engines , leaving the children Archimedes, James Aimone and the construction of tractors which ferried the brand to international fame.
The Landini led the company until 1960 , when James , the youngest son of the founder, signed the sale of the Company at Massey Ferguson , then the largest global enterprise of agricultural machinery.
The volume traces the history of Italian industry's largest manufacturer of tractors alone , through documentation , model for model , the result of research conducted for over ten years and accompanied by hundreds of original photographs.
