This volume, published in 1969, with texts written by Luigi Fusi and colour drawings by Domenico Nardiello, describes Le Grandi Alfa Romeo, cars that have not only fired the enthusiasm of many sportsmen, but have also marked milestones in the progress of the automobile.

32 cars, from the 40-60 HP of 1913 to the RL Targa Florio of 1923, to the P2 of 1924, from the "158" of 1938 to the world champion "159", up to the "33" 2 and 3 litre cars, protagonists in the most difficult world competitions.

From this fertile and famous progeny came the generation of the "Giulietta" and "Giulia", which turned Alfa Romeo from a craftsman's factory into a great industrial company, capable of offering to an increasingly large public of demanding motorists, anywhere in the world, cars with qualities that can only be achieved when a long and precious experience in competition can be used.

For each car there is a technical sketch, a colour plate, some historical pictures and a detailed description, with "Origine ed evoluzione", "Scheda tecnica" and "Competizioni e successi".
