From 1965 onwards, led by a young manager, the Matra team achieved the historic enterprise of bringing the French colours to the top by winning the two most famous competitions in motor sport: the Formula 1 World Championship with Jackie Stewart and, three times consecutively, the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
