Mike the bike is a book written by Ted Macauley, manager but especially great friend of the legendary British rider.
The book therefore tells "from the inside" the story of Mike Hailwood's return to the 1978 TT on a Ducati, after many years away from motorbike racing, and retraces all the stages of this incredible sporting event that allowed the 38-year-old rider to win Ducati its first world trophy.
During qualifying, Hailwood was the fastest, and confirmed in the race, where he triumphed over Phil Read and his Honda, passing between two wings of ecstatic crowds. With this triumphant comeback, Mike became the legendary "Mike the Bike" and Ducati got remarkable publicity all over the world.
The book has a prestigious editorial look: large format and hardcover, printed on high quality paper, 140 pages.
