1957. the last Mille Miglia.
All were of Cavriana, with the crash of Ferrari's 335 by Alfonso de Portago and Edmund Nelson, CoPilot and those eleven victims on the tarmac who wrote the last page of fascinating as dangerous street races.
But the 1957 also was one of the most exciting Mille Miglia, animated by the fight without respite between the pilots of the squadron put together by Enzo Ferrari and culminated with the victory of Piero Taruffi, with the Laurel at pi bella del mondo, decider to close his career.
A race which is chronicled kilometre after kilometre mile after mile through the Chronicles of the race, but also the testimonies of the protagonists, the background, the cars, men and women.
Unpublished images and stunning.
While in the background running a piece of Italy and an unforgettable time of motoring.
This is the first of a series of monographs that, over the next few years, racconter the Chronicle of all post-war editions from 1947 to 1957, the classical Brescian race.
