MotoBi – "L’aristocratica fra le moto" retraces the extraordinary history of one of Italy's most successful motorbike manufacturers, and has been realised by the Benelli Historical Register thanks to a skilful selection of documents and photographs from the period, but also to the collection of previously unpublished testimonies from those who experienced MotoBi's golden years first hand.

That of MotoBi is an extraordinary story, born from the absolute genius of Giuseppe Benelli, progenitor of six Benelli brothers, who wanted to give life to a four-wheeled project: the BBC.

A new car model ready to challenge Fiat Topolino on the market, but which unfortunately, for essentially political reasons, never saw the light of day. A project that put Giuseppe Benelli at such odds with his brothers that he decided to resign from the historic family business and founded a new one.

It was 1950: F.A.M. (Fabbrica Auto Motoveicoli Officine Strada Adriatica) was born, later to become the legendary MotoBi. A motorbike company known throughout the world thanks to innovative models, commercial successes and thousands of competitions won on Europe's most important circuits, and which is still remembered today as "L’aristocratica fra le moto" (The aristocrat among motorbikes).
