Paris-Dakar, one of the most important and evocative races relives in the images and words that make up this book. An intertwining of stories, anecdotes, experiences told by some of its main protagonists.
Conceived and wanted by the great Thierry Sabine, the Paris-Dakar has been able to perfectly embody the spirit of adventure of its times, especially in its first version, the one that ran between France and Africa from 1979 to 2007.
Obiettivo Dakar collects the memories and words of the protagonists of the African editions, retracing kilometers of sand, dirt roads, problems, anecdotes, adventures and passion.
Private and official pilots, but also journalists and photographers: Gio Sala, Beppe Gualini, Fabio Marcaccini, Ciro De Petri, Giampiero Findanno, Claudio Torri, Claudio Terruzzi and Gigi Soldano.
One hundred and forty-four pages of stories embellished with images from the personal archives of the protagonists, including almost a hundred directly from the material immortalized over the years by Gigi Soldano.
