PIAVE JOLLY CLUB 70 YEARS 1949-2019
IL SEGNO NELLA STORIA
The racing teams have been one of the fundamental elements of Italian and international motor racing. Collectors of passion and professionalism, places of sport, friendship and sharing, have allowed many drivers to emerge, to mature sportingly, professionally and in some cases to become champions.
The Venetian team celebrates the seventy springs with a book that traces the history of this important sports association, born in 1949, transforming the "Squadra Treviso", the sports group of the Treviso Automobile Club, into Scuderia Piave.
Later and also thanks to the results obtained, Scuderia Piave joins the Jolly Club, one of the most important national associations.
Among the champions who wore the colours of the Piave Jolly there is a young Gianfranco Cunico, who wins the A112 Trophy, Tony Fassina who with his Lancia Stratos wins the Italian round of the world rally in 1979 and Tonino Tognana on a Ferrari who wins the Italian Rally Championship in '82.
In the mid-1980s, historic cars also arrived and the Piave Jolly is one of the reference teams in races around Europe.
To celebrate all these results and the 70 years of the sporting partnership, the Piave Jolly has created a beautiful volume where many stories and anecdotes of the Treviso team are told.
