In a detailed interview, Porsche veteran Herbert Linge reports on the creation of the 356 Speedster, which was urgently requested from the USA. The conquest of what is still Porsche’s most important sales market to this day could begin.
Almost 30 years later, Porsche again remembered the sales success of the 356 Speedster in the USA and the image gain from this time.
In his interview, Friedrich Bezner, who became project manager of the Porsche 911 from 1979, talks about the creation of the first 911 Speedster prototype in 1982.
The book was produced in close cooperation with the historical archive of Porsche AG.
Therefore, in addition to price developments and purchase advice, previously unpublished documents and photographs from the Speedster history can also be published.
