This volume is the second edition, revised and enlarged, of the previous Stanguellini e l'artigianato automobilistico modenese (Stanguellini and the Modenese automobile craftsmanship), which was the only publication on this subject so far.
With this second work, the authors wanted to emphasize the individual value of Vittorio Stanguellini: the "magician" of engines, as he was called.
For this reason, they preferred to abolish the initial chapter on the Modenese automotive craftsmanship in order to deal with other aspects of Vittorio Stanguellini's life and work.
In particular, compared to the previous volume, the following have been added: a chapter with an unpublished list of all main racing successes (first, second and third places, with indication of date, place and driver's name); another chapter containing the memoirs of a Stanguellini mechanic; and a large paragraph entirely dedicated to the Junior cars (including all technical data and original service manual).
Another important new feature is a further paragraph on the very interesting workshop achievements.
The guide to the Museum has also been enlarged and integrated, and finally, worthy of note is the interview with his son Francesco, who "recounts" Vittorio and his era with an abundance of technical and human details.
