Sandro Munari and Mario Mannucci's victory with the Lancia Fulvia Coupé HF 1.6 in the 1972 Monte Carlo Rallye made rallying very popular in our country too. Many young people approached the speciality, which in the meantime has become increasingly professional, with official teams competing in the world championship. These included Lancia and Fiat, which employed the best specialists.

However, it was not easy to become a professional. High costs limited quality participation to a few drivers. To increase the number of possible future champions Cesare Fiorio had an intuition: create a one-make championship with an affordable car.

In 1977, the first Autobianchi A112 Abarth 70 HP championship was born. It was an immediate success and in the following years many other one-make championships were born.

This book covers the three main one-make trophies that featured small cars from the Fiat group at the time: Autobianchi A112 Abarth 70HP, Fiat Uno 70 and Fiat Uno Turbo, and Fiat Cinquecento.

In TROFEI, the author Gian dell'Erba - who has personally followed many of these championships as press officer - intends to tell the story of the individual seasons, while placing them in the context of the other international championships.

Then, he tells about the careers of the champions who came out of these championships. All illustrated by hundreds of very stunning photographs, because at the heart of everything there was a lot of competition and a lot of spectacles in the special stages. The fans and the many drivers who drove these cars remember this.
