Passion is passion. It’s something that Japanese businessman Junichiro Hiramatsu knows all about, having given his heart in equal parts to Ferrari and Italy. Hiramatsu has loved the Prancing Horse since he caught his first glimpse of a 250 SWB and read an interview with Enzo Ferrari in Car Graphic magazine when he was just 12 years old. That love was amply repaid when he wrote off a BB as a young man but emerged without a scratch. That moment marked the start of what would grow to become the world’s largest collection of Ferrari cars, documents, books and model cars. This book tells Junichiro Hiramatsu’s story, from his passion for Ferrari to the people it has led him to meet over the years, including Luca di Montezemolo who wrote the introduction, and Jean Todt and Piero Ferrari who talk about their friendship with him. It also provides a glimpse into his private life, home and family included, and his other passions. A life split between Japan and Italy by a unique individual who combines the seriousness of Japan with the creativity of the Mediterranean.
