In the spring of 1956 it was presented to the public the new harvester LAVERDA M 60, the first modern machinery in its class built in Italy in large numbers. It was an immediate success that projected the Vicenza-based company among the great European agricultural engineering.
At a distance of sixty years this book recounts the genesis of the project, its serial production and distribution in Italy and Europe, with an extensive historical reconstruction made possible by the testimonies of the protagonists of this technical and commercial success. The main technical features and compared with those of competitors of the time are then shown. One chapter is devoted to the still extant machines, much sought after by collectors, and the restoration carried out on the one kept in the Laverda Museum of Breganze.
The volume is enriched by more than 140 photographs and illustrations in color and B & W, mostly unpublished.
