The first edition of the Le Mans 24 Hours took place on 26 and 27 May 1923. In a century and 92 editions, more than five thousand cars, driven by some twelve thousand drivers and assisted by tens of thousands of mechanics, competed in this famous car race, in front of almost fourteen million spectators!
Many thousands of pages could be filled to chronicle all the adventures that took place around the Le Mans circuit. In this volume you will find twenty-four singular stories, the exploits of twenty-four heroes and heroines, famous or anonymous, who, among many others, have marked the history of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
