Alfa Romeo GTV and Spider, two cars united by a single abbreviation, recalling another work of art produced in the same period by Ducati: the 916 model.
Conceived in 1988, premiered at the Paris Motor Show in October 1994 and then officially at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1995, it had the difficult task of replacing the previous GTV, absent in the Alfa range since 1987, and the legendary Duetto, which went into production in 1966.
This monograph describes the two cars down to the smallest detail, thanks to an analytical and complete portrait in every part, enriched by 300 images including photographs, tables and drawings of the time.
The narration of the GTV and the Spider includes multiple testimonies, collected directly from all those protagonists who helped put these two four-wheeled jewels on the road: from design to large-scale production, up to 90 thousand units and with two different restyling in 1998 and in 2003, from after-sales assistance to their perspective in the field of collecting.
