This is not a biography of Ayrton Senna. It is the story of a friendship between a journalist and a driver. Between Ayrton and Leo.
Since that terrible Sunday at Imola in 1994, Senna has become one of the great contemporary sports legends.
Not only because he died at the age of 34, in the middle of his career - it happens to drivers, it's part of the sport.
But because he was a driver who always insisted on valuing the human element in evaluating the professional qualities.
That's why we miss him so much, almost thirty years later. We all miss him.
To sport fans, to the F1 enthusiasts which, since his death, has never been the same.
And to our present, which needs real, limpid heroes.
