Passion, perseverance, ambition: these are the ingredients of the Fiorio family's success. A genealogy that starts with grandfather Sandro, owner of a tannery that was a crossroads for the people of the Resistance and later head of the Lancia press office.
It was precisely with a Lancia Appia Zagato that Cesare Fiorio, just 22 years old, won the Italian GT championship title in the 1150 cc class, indissolubly linking his life to the world of cars.
A perfect synthesis of the motor sports manager, he is credited with making rallying a professional discipline. But there would be a thousand ways to describe Caesar: one is spoilt for choice, multifaceted and unstoppable as he is.
Founder of High Fidelity (HF), the Lancia racing department protagonist of the great international rallies, he was Team Principal and sporting director in Formula One with Ferrari, Ligier (later Prost Grand Prix), and Minardi.
The king of racing and, as if that were not enough, the man of nautical competitions at sea: twice world champion and six times European champion, he beat in 1992 the world record for the fastest transatlantic crossing - with the legendary Nastro Azzurro -, still unsurpassed to this day.
