No one book will ever be able to do justice to Ferrari, for there are just too many facets to the marque. For this volume, Ferrari concours, published in 1990, the author decided to look at four of them - restoration, historic racing, collecting and concours.
Dozens of racing Ferraris (and other makes) that found the way to America in the fifties - to be abandoned a few years later, when they became obsolete - have been re-discovered, restored and were racing again and, in some cases, shown at some very big and prestigious Concours d'Elegance in the States.
The stunning images in this book show only a handful of the models Ferrari has built for road and race track, but they illustrate very well the extraordinary variety and vitality of the marque, which grows stronger and more famous every year, despite the death of its founder in 1988.
