The year was 1980, and Fiat launched one of the vehicles that would become part of the history of the Turin-based automotive brand: the Panda. Designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, it was unveiled in March 1980 at the Geneva Motor Show, emphasising simplicity and functionality.
In its 'first generation', produced from 1980 to 2003 in 4.5 million units, the Panda embraced the whole society, from the less affluent to the wealthiest motorists, without distinction of age or social position.
This monograph is dedicated to this iconic car, retracing its technical and stylistic evolution over more than 20 years, without neglecting the countless special versions that, for the Panda, have represented a sort of ‘history within history’.
As in other titles in the Le vetture che hanno fatto la storia series, a brief but exhaustive guide to maintenance and restoration is included.
119 pages, with 93 colour and 88 b/w photos. Text in Italian.
