After the Portraits dedicated to the 1960s, here is the one "consecrated" to the 1970s, a decade of fundamental importance in the history of Formula 1 both for the deep changes that gave a new face to the ‘Circus’ in that decade, and for the many champions who, with their cars, were the undisputed protagonists of epic battles, some of which entered into the legend of motorsport.
The names of protagonists are Jochen Rindt, Jackie Stewart, Emerson Fittipaldi, Niki Lauda, James Hunt, Mario Andretti and Jody Scheckter - to mention world champion drivers - to which must be added François Cevert, Clay Regazzoni, Carlos Reutemann, Ronnie Peterson and Gilles Villeneuve, other great interpreters of that decade.
Tracing and telling their exploits is Luca Dal Monte, with his first large-format illustrated book.
A precious object, made precious also by the spectacular images, mostly unpublished, illustrating it, many from Franco Villani's archive.
Formula 1 Portraits Gli anni Settanta features 192 pages and more than 350 pictures.
