A "little, big man", who came from Canada and appeared almost out of nowhere in the world of Formula 1 in the Seventies, where he shone as a real star until that tragic afternoon in Zolder, on 8 May 1982.
Gilles Villeneuve's parable in the "Circus" was explosive and dazzling: in a few years he was able to conquer the crowds - with what, at the time, was called "Villeneuve fever" - as well as the heart of the Great Old Man, Enzo Ferrari, who wrote about his young driver: "He was a champion of combativeness, and he gave, he added a lot of fame to Ferrari. I loved him".
After Ronnie Peterson and Ayrton Senna, Diego Alverà, in this new book, written once again with the flair of the consummate storyteller, confronts the myth of Gilles, the "Aviator"- as he was nicknamed at the time - a man and driver who was not wrongly compared to great Tazio Nuvolari.
A novel, as always, to be read in one go!
