In the book published by ASI, co-written by Massimo Nobile and Sergio Troise, reconstructs the history of the Grand Prix of Naples, 19 editions held between the thirties and sixties on a street circuit set up on the streets of the Posillipo hill, in the the upper area of the city, called by the authors "the hill of the brave." One way to emphasize the business far from trivial performed by champions of motor, the first of Tazio Nuvolari, winner of the first edition in 1934. After him, to the roaring sixties, there have always been interests of prestige among which Nino Farina, the first F1 world Champion, Manuel Fangio, five times world champion Alberto Ascari (twice). Sifting through the many curiosities, the book reveals that among the hidden extras cimentatesi Posillipo there have been famous names from the world of cars and sport, as the coachbuilder Nuccio Bertone or sample of Eugenio Monti Bob. Are honored, of course, to the many pilots Neapolitan among others, Maria Teresa de Filippis, Neapolitan thoroughbred and first lady of Formula 1, finished second in the category Sport edition of '56. The Archive Parisio, Istituto Luce and private collections have provided historical material of great interest, from which they were taken over 450 pictures. Starting from these, the authors were able to reconstruct all nineteen editions of the race in great detail: for each edition is no shortage rankings, records, chronicles, but also curiosity, background images and contour suspended between sport, glamor and passion for engines. An overall picture that fills a void in the history of Italian races and pays tribute to a city with a glorious past, "The Hill of the bold" is also the portrait of a "Naples Grand Prix" which unfortunately no longer exists.
