André Citroën, European market leader in the 1920s, at the 1928 Motor Show launched two radically new models, the C4 and C6.
These cars were a complete novelty compared to previous Citroëns: comfortable, safe, fast, elegant and almost indestructible. They were the first truly modern Citroën cars.
Constantly improved, the C4 and C6 remained at the top of the French car industry for five years thanks to their intrinsic qualities.
Successful advertising, a reliable, competent and motivated sales network, growing exports and splendid victories at Montlhéry made the C4 and C6 legendary at the time.
Today, collectors search for them and keep them carefully. They are the brand's beloved rear-wheel-drive "caisses carrées".
Les Citroën C4-C6 de mon père traces a detailed profile of these cars, with a wealth of information and data, and a rich photographic collection of 240 pictures.
