This book traces the history of the trident marque, which began in 1914, when the Maserati brothers created the Società Anonima Officine Alfieri Maserati in Bologna.
Their aim was to develop racing cars for the Diatto brand. This was fully achieved with the Tipo 26, which left an indelible mark on motor racing with more than a hundred victories!
Maserati's trail of success became something extraordinary: Juan Manuel Fangio won several Grands Prix in the 1950s, and became F1 world champion with the Maserati 250F; Stirling Moss came first in several Grands Prix, and so on until Maserati moved away from racing to concentrate on the top end of the car market.
The brand is now recognized worldwide as a symbol of luxury, comfort and performance cars.
In this book, illustrated with 300 photos and drawings, the history of Maserati is told through an exhaustive technical and historical catalogue, in which all the models are described, also the less known ones, with advice on how to distinguish the different versions that appeared.
