In the authors' intentions, this publication is not intended to be, nor is it, a "Book about Targa Florio".
Rather, it is simply a collection of stories, anecdotes, and special episodes from Targa Florio, without any attempt at historiographical research, but with the pleasure of sharing its contents with fellow enthusiasts.
This "notebook of stories", in fact, has been nourished by personal recollections, of simple passionate spectators, of drivers who were protagonists in Targa, or by memorized evidence of old newspaper reports.
