Sauro Mingarelli "Il Rosso". Red like many of the Ferraris that have passed through his Bologna workshop, which, from the early 1960s to the present day, has become a genuine reference point for enthusiasts - and not just Prancing Horse fanatics - from all over the world.
Mingarelli, the man, the mechanic, the enthusiast who was able to fascinate a charismatic figure such as Enzo Ferrari.
In his long career as an "independent" mechanic, he has put his hands on almost all the Ferrari road and racing cars that have come out of the Maranello factory.
Over the years, collectors and enthusiasts as well as great champions - first and foremost Clay Regazzoni - have passed through his workshop, carried out together with his partner and friend Rizzoli.
Finally, thanks to Mingarelli's great experience and know-how, many of the classic cars that are now housed in the various museums of the Motor Valley have been restored to their former glory.
The book retraces this fascinating and little-known story, shedding light on a character whose history is inextricably linked to that of Ferrari and its founder.
