Vite di Corsa, the book that appeared in its first edition in 2016 and written by Pino Allievi, one of the best known and appreciated motorsport journalists, reappears today in the new series "I Tascabili" to tell an even wider audience about Formula 1, racing and more.
There are many stories in the twenty-seven tales collected in this volume, unpublished stories, because they are experienced first-hand by the author together with the various characters, drivers, managers and more, who appear in the book.
From these meetings come portraits that are sometimes hilarious, dramatic or even surreal, whose protagonists are champions like Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel, Michael Schumacher, Niki Lauda, Jean Alesi, James Hunt, Gilles Villeneuve or Clay Regazzoni, but also strong personalities such as Enzo Ferrari, Sergio Marchionne, Bernie Ecclestone and Flavio Briatore.
There are also captains of industry, finance, politics and show business who have loved racing and wanted to enjoy it up close, like Avvocato Agnelli, Cesare Romiti, George Harrison and even Carlos Menem, President of the Argentine Republic.
And still others, ones you don't expect, like Diego Armando Maradona, the protagonist of an interview which was, to say the least, rocambolic, or the astronaut Pete Conrad, who set foot on the Moon, also stepping into the shoes of a driver. These are the lives, always strictly... running, that come to life in these pages.
