He participated in four consecutive editions of the 24 Hours of Le Mans (1962 to 1965) and in 1965 in the 12 Hours of Sebring.
On 17 September 1967, while testing an Alfa Romeo 33 at the Linas-Montlhéry circuit, he went off the road, hitting a tree and dying instantly.
