Can sport and all the dreams it generates represent a school of life for a young person and be a source of inspiration?
The autobiography of the driver Corrado Manfredini, who after having climbed the Dolomite peaks in his youth spent thirty years at the wheel of the most varied racing cars, escapes all doubts and tells, overcoming the banal chronicle of events or the list of successes and defeats, such as the dreams, ideals, sacrifices required by sport are really able to shape the heart as well as the body of the young people who dedicate themselves to it.
Alternating cars and fellow racers, traveling for years from circuit to circuit, Manfredini recalls the many and incredible experiences he had lived and at the same time retraces the evolution of motor sport: he passes from the epic times of the Mille Miglia to the races between gentlemen with the Gran Turismo fifties; then to the scorching Formula Junior, F3 and F2 races that ignited the Sixties, up to the most famous endurance races held in the Seventies with the powerful Sport Prototype.
A crescendo that involves the reader to the point of making him imagine that he is sitting in that uncomfortable but so fascinating cockpit, typical of every racing car.
