Paolo Martocchia, not new to narratives involving Abruzzo and the golden years of racing, and to stories of drivers of his land, almost unknown and, for this reason, worthy of being rediscovered and celebrated with the glory they merit, dedicates this further editorial effort to Francesco Cerulli Irelli, a racer with a tireless drive, in all categories, who has willingly collected his memories in this well-done volume, and pleasant to read, with many pictures and anecdotes.
What we discover as we leaf through the pages and then linger to read is an incredible versatility: Cerulli Irelli raced from karts to almost F1 with Arrow, passing through races in Fiat 500s, the victory of an Italian Sport Class Absolute Championship in 1972, entry as an official driver in the AMS in 1973, F2 with the March from 1974 to 1976 and finally victories with the Talbot Samba between 1984 and 1987.
The work is completed by some newspaper articles that confirm Cerulli Irelli's eclecticism and a synoptic table of his entries in races and competitions.
